How to make Turkish Delights

Now here is the list of ingredients you would require. You can make orange flavoured delight as well. All you need to do is replace the parts of lemons with orange. As simple as that.

Now here is the list of ingredients you would require. You can make orange flavoured delight as well. All you need to do is replace the parts of lemons with orange. As simple as that.

Cornflour(sieved) | 350 | gm |
Gelatine(softened in 1/2 pint of water) | 135 | gm |
Icing Sugar (Sieved) | 1/2 | tbsp |
With all the ingredients on the table, let us move on to the recipe:
- Put water in a copper pan and add sugar, juice and rind of lemons to it.
- Heat the mixture to a temperature of 106-113 degree Celsius.
- Slowly add the cornflour and whisk.
- Bring the mixture to boil and slowly add the softened gelatine.
- Allow the mixture to boil for about seven minutes while stirring time to time.
- Strain the mixture through a sieve into wetted square tins.
- Allow the mixture to cool overnight.
- Cut into squares and roll in the icing sugar.
- Serve with a smile for better taste.
