Gumshara Ramen, Sydney CBD

You would definitely not find Gumshara unless you were looking for it, there’s nothing aesthetically pleasing about the shop or its surroundings.

Gumshara’s broth is amazing and unlike anything else we’ve ever tried in Sydney. Apparently the stock is made by simmering 120kg of pork bones which would explain the extremely thick broth. Definitely get their signature Tonkotsu ramen noodle which includes a generous serving of melt in your mouth pork belly. For $14 it definitely has the most value on the menu.

We also picked up a few side dishes but the main was more than enough for two hungry souls. Our side dishes include spicy pickled cabbage on rice and pan fried dumplings. The dumplings were nothing special and we suspected they were just some basic supermarket brand so don’t waste your time/money on those.

Cost: $14-$20 per person
